Two paintings based on the known geometry of irregular quadrilaterals (see footnote)

*This is a known geometric relation which directly reflects the idea of covert scale structures (regular or syntactical divisions of units and wholes) underscoring the irregular forms of Nature.
Take any irregular quadrilateral and bisect its sides thus finding the midpoint of each side. Now join the midpoint of each adjacent side. The shape so formed will always be a parallelogram, and is often called the Varignon parallelogram, and its area is half that of the original quadrilateral.
